Zhou Yan


Zhou Yan, formerly known as Zhou Yuan, the Department of Oil Painting of College of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University, respectively receiving a bachelor's degree in 1994 and a master's degree in 2000, and from the School of Design and Arts at Beijing Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in 2013. She has taught at Beijing Institute of Technology since 2003, and now is the dean, associate professor and master tutor of the Fine Arts Department of School of Design and Arts at Beijing Institute of Technology, and member of Beijing Artists Association and Beijing Female Artists Association.

Major Research interests: Oil Painting Theory and Technique Research.

Major Teaching courses: Sketch Research, Color Research, Painting Creation, Landscape Sketch, etc.

Major Writings: Ancient Calligraphy Classic Series(12 volumes), Huanxian Daoqing Shadow Theatre and Figure Collection

Scientific research projects: “Impact of the Subjective Painting on Modern Design- A Case Study of Color Application”, “Zhongxu Public Environmental Mural Design”, “Mural Design Production of Beijing Fangheng Holiday Inn”, “Relievo Mural Design Production of Xu Teli Library of Beijing Institute of Technology”, “Relievo Mural Design Production of Legend of Cowherd and Weaver Girl of Heshun County in Shanxi”, etc.
