Yan Kai

Yan Kai, born in Hunan in 1980, graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a bachelor’s degree in 2004, and from China Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master’s degree in 2007, and has been a visiting scholar at Kobe Design University in 2011. Now he is a lecturer in the Visual Communication Department of School of Design and Arts at Beijing Institute of Technology. His works Attached was collected by Hughes Gallery, Post-Photography The Five Experimental Cases participated in "The 13th China Pingyao International Photography Festival", Chinese Living Garden was selected into "Europalia Cultural Festival" and exhibited at Asia Top Hotel Art Fair Gallery. He has held the solo exhibition "Craze"(Hong Kong), "Chayanguanse" (Beijing), "Dead Skin- Temporary Heaven"(Belgium), participated in "AATS2010 Asian Art Fair", "Little Things Art Exhibition", "FIVE STARS, ONE COUNTRY ", "Ink Not Ink - China Contemporary Ink-painting Exhibition", etc. He participated in the research project “Application of Modern Design Conversion into Chinese Traditional Statues System”(2013 Beijing Higher Education Young Elite Teacher Project). His works "Goblet" won the national patent.
